Oh hey, 2017! WE’RE SO GLAD YOU’RE HERE. And while we have some apprehensions about the future, we are mostly hopeful for a better year than 2016. Because let’s face it, 2016 was a real sh*tstorm.
Instead of looking back on 2016, I want to focus on moving forward. The future is the only place that change and betterment can occur, right? So it deserves the most of our attention. And while I could go on and on about what I would like to be better in the world in 2017, for now I’m going to stick to the blog.
2016 brought a new start for this blog, a new instagram (@craftybridge) and a fresh set of project ideas. I’m digging all of it so far. So here are my goals for 2017 and this blog and myself:
- Post Regularly and Consistently
In the past I have been overcritical of my writing and my post selections and it has crippled me. I have started to enjoy the process a lot more lately and I want to keep that momentum going. Maybe that means not all big tutorials or a few more reflection posts. Or maybe it means I’m just gonna let my freak flag fly a little and be more uninhibited. - Kill it at Social Media
And by kill it, I mean try to learn what I’m actually doing. Because currently I really have no idea what I’m doing. I want to hone my niche on instagram and gain a bigger following (@craftybridge) and learn to tolerate Twitter (@crafty_bridge). Maybe one day I’ll get a sponsor and I can be a real badass. - More “Green” Posts
Post more about how passionate I am about shrinking my carbon footprint and what I do about it. Being “green” is something that permeates most of the decisions in my life and I want to share more about what I do to try to reduce my impact on the environment. More to come on that one. - Clean Up my Craft Room
Ok, this is a big one for me. My craft room is a disaster AND it doesn’t have a door. So I can’t even hide the mess. I need to use the supplies that I have and organize bigtime.
I think 4 is enough. I need attainable goals, otherwise they’ll never happen. Did you set goals for the new year? I’d love to hear about them! Follow me on FB, instagram and twitter for frequent updates and interactions!
